Air Max 1 “Concepts – Heavy”

The Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 Heavy is a collaboration between the Boston based sneaker boutique and Nike on the old school running shoe in a colorway inspired by 1960s and 70s music and fashion. A bold look for the always-popular shoe, the Heavy colorway draws favorably from the eras music festivals, specifically Woodstock, as the cowhide forefoot overlay is a nod to Bethel, New York, the dairy farm that hosted the event back in the day. The unique fashion worn by the festivals headlining acts and concert goers informs the eye-catching bandana, denim, and woven materials found on the Heavys design. A tiger camo pattern is applied to the mudguard that spans the toe to the heel. Concepts and Nike place a multicolor Swoosh on either side of the shoe to accentuate the collaborationsflower power aesthetic.
